Job Description Details
The Digital Content Email Designer concepts and creates compelling, creative, on-brand, on-strategy, customer-focused digital experiences across digital media, specifically email promotional creative, email templates, and banner ads. Designer ensures an experience that responds across multiple customer devices from mobile to tablet to desktop. The Digital Designer balances a creative mindset with the technical understanding of the platforms he/she designs for while also working with the email styleguide. The Digital Designer works closely with the Retention Marketing, Content Development, Copywriting, and eCommerce teams.
Within the structure of existing email templates and emarketing frameworks, Designer uses photography, graphic design principles including typography, color, and composition to create impactful digital design solutions that effectively communicate the sales/marketing strategy and lead the customer to a desired action. Produces the design and production assets for email campaigns, email templates, and banner ads.
The Designer meets regularly with ecommerce/emarketing business partners to understand the broad goals of each assigned category. Reviews success metrics after projects are launched. Ensure work is delivered on time. Participates in follow-up sessions to understand success metrics and whether or not the project achieved the desired goals. Other business related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in graphic design, UI design, electronic media design or related field. 3 + years of experience designing emails for mobile or web applications; Retail/ecommerce experience a huge plus. Expert status in Adobe Creative Cloud especially Photoshop, InDesign; Competent status in Illustrator and After Effects. Recent and directly related Art Directing experience and animated graphics experience with portfolio examples Proficient working in a MAC environment Balances creative and conceptual thinking with strong human-centered design sense Solid understanding of web browsers, UX design, ADA compliance and the constraints of designing for online media Deep understanding of graphic design, color, composition, typography, and layout Able to prepare design files for production and development; understands and uses appropriate naming conventions for projects, artwork, and photography Self-educates on the latest trends and technology related to digital design Highly detail oriented and committed to excellence Innate curiosity; naturally wired to explore solutions on a path to the best answer Laser-focused on the customer Flexible and able to accept, provide and apply necessary critique and feedback Respect for QVC Brand Standards and understanding of QVC production processes Strong collaborator; ability to work well within a team and across departments Strong verbal and written skills Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with ever-changing priorities and demands Strong leader of self.
