Description: Our client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Quality Control Engineer
Perform specialized, complex and involved assignments of an engineering nature having to do with development and administration of quality control procedures and techniques.
Conduct investigative work to solve quality deviation problems when so assigned.
Conduct studies to develop inspection methods and instruments, laboratory test equipment, inspection and sampling control procedures to assure control of quality at the most economical costs.
Work closely with Product and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing and Inspection personnel on procedural problems involving design methods, tooling, cost and other areas involved in the control of product quality.
Devise methods and design equipment used in laboratory to test both Company and competitive products.
May oversee critical testing and inspection procedures, analyze and document results.
Assist with or individually resolve engineering problems to offset defective workmanship, material variations or other causes which contribute to deviations from quality standards.
Assist supervisor to install, train and otherwise administer new methods of inspection and control procedures.
When assigned, investigate customers' complaints as to product quality, and if required work closely with customers' representatives to resolve problems.
Document and maintain records, drawings and other data having to do with the engineering functions involved.
Keep abreast of new engineering techniques, procedures, instruments and equipment through seminars, educational institutions, professional organizations, text books, technical papers and periodicals.


Qualifications & Requirements: Education Requirements:
College graduate with degree in Engineering required.
Courses in special subjects such as Quality Assurance and Control, shop inspection practices, etc., would be beneficial. Training and Experience:
Requires four to five years experience in various engineering phases, e.g. product and/or manufacturing engineering, quality control and reliability engineering to acquire required background.
