Overview: The Pottstown Works Coordinator will provide oversight and direction for all aspects of the job readiness program including: further development of the program; operation of the program; managing the job seeking members, volunteers, and staff; relationships with businesses and community organizations; media relationships, and fund raising. The Coordinator will be responsible for all phases of program implementation, using the mission and vision of The Salvation Army, as well as trauma informed best practices, as guiding principles in all aspects of the position.
Empowers job seeking individuals in the community with job readiness skills to move toward independence by emphasizing employment, education, and personal responsibility. The Coordinator will be responsible for client assessment and intake, client education, familiarization with community resources, empowering clients to gain employment, reporting documentation, clerical organization, as well as to performing related duties as assigned.
* Master's Degree in Social Work, Business, Education (or related field) preferred, or a Bachelor's Degree + 10 years of progressive work experience in social work, business or education.? 3 years of experience in supervising others? 3 years of experience in fund raising and community outreach? 3 years of experience in community and business relationships? 3 years of experience in marketing and media relationships? Self-starter and have exceptional interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills? Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.?
