The Undergraduate Admissions Office (UAO) is hiring students to fulfill multiple roles within the office during the summer. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: greet and direct visitors within the Shields Building, answer/direct telephone calls as needed, and enter data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. In addition to these responsibilities, employees will be trained on giving campus tours. They will need to serve as a tour guide when necessary or assist office interns with tour assessments. UAO is looking for students who will take the initiative to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and answer questions in order to improve visitor experiences and assist with other projects and duties as assigned. Individuals should have professional demeanor, strong customer service skills, and the ability to provide accurate information to visitors. Candidates should possess good attention to detail and strong organizational/planning skills. Current students or recent graduates of University Park are preferred. This position will be from May 6 through August 16. We are looking for candidates who can work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for approximately 10-30 hours per week. This position will be paid at a rate of $9.50 per hour. Please keep in mind Penn State students holding multiple paying positions at Penn State cannot work more than 40 hours total per week.
