The Senior Product Owner is accountable for the successful definition and delivery of solutions based on needs defined internal and external customers. This person works with customers to help interpret their needs and translate them into requirements that can be delivered by the development team. In addition, the Senior Product Owner works with Product and Technology leadership to shape the roadmap and strategic vision for their product. The Senior Product Owner works with Product Leaders and Business Owners and a cross-functional team, which consists of a Scrum Master, Developers and Quality Assurance disciplines to build, enhance and manage one or more of HomeNet's products, capabilities and services using Agile software methodologies. Additionally, the Senior Product Owner serves as a Subject Matter Expert for their products, capabilities and services and aides in providing guidance as necessary to others about their application. For certain efforts, it may be necessary to coordinate with other Product Owners to deliver a feature or capability that crosses multiple development teams at HomeNet. The Senior Product Owner is also responsible for managing large scale release coordination and communication with teams across Cox Automotive including Product, Technology, Sales, Operations, Training, and Marketing. This role requires a strong technical understanding of application architecture and development and excellent communication and collaboration skills. Senior Product Owners must work closely with others across the Cox Automotive business both inside and outside of the HomeNet organization. The Senior Product Owner must have the ability to clearly communicate status on complex product and technical solutions with all levels of the organization ranging from developers to Executives. The successful candidate must have a demonstrable track record of achieving success in a dynamic, fast-paced software development environment. They must be able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, make appropriate product decisions quickly and be co-located with their team to ensure accessibility by the team. Your Job: 80% Product Ownership 20% Product Management Strong understanding of Product Management and Agile methodologies Extensive experience working in Scrum product development environment Extensive experience in translating customer requirements into Agile user stories Strong understanding of mobile and web application architecture and development Extensive experience in working with multiple cross functional teams to deliver new features for one or more product lines Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve project risks and dependencies Lead the successful delivery of the product roadmaps for multiple teams and/or areas within HomeNet or across Cox Automotive Partner with Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams to develop and deliver materials for both employees and customers Identify areas to improve on the go to market approach for new products and features in areas both inside and outside of Product and Development Accurately report on current project status on a weekly basis to Product and Technology leadership Manage the product roadmap and backlog for one or more product lines Identify, track, and report on KPIs related to the products directly managed Prioritize and sequence the backlog by business value or ROI Partner with Product, Technology and Executive Leadership to shape the strategy and roadmap for products directly managed Develop new solutions based on product and business strategy objectives Work with the assigned teams within HomeNet and across Cox Automotive to identify process improvements to enhance productivity Convey the vision and goals at the beginning of every initiative, iteration and throughout the product life cycle Identify, understand and communicate the customer needs to application development teams in order to shape successful implementation of new products and features Foster a collaborative team environment within and across teams at Cox Automotive Lead the quarterly planning efforts for the assigned areas Work within their Application(s) teams to decompose epics, themes and features into system level stories and/or designs Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in application features, behavior and high-level architecture Develop and maintain solid understanding of the competitive landscape in the automotive software space including competitive products Work with Operations and Account Management teams to understand the drivers of customer complaints to appropriately prioritize defects and enhancements on the product backlog Work with Sales and Account Management teams to understand challenges in the sales process related to the product feature set in order to influence priorities on the product backlog Qualifications: 7+ years of Product Management experience in SAAS, PAAS, or massive Web Applications 7+ years of experience working with Technology teams in an Agile environment 7+ years of experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment with geographically distributed development teams 10+ years of experience working in software Product Development in a Product or Technology role What we look for: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Working knowledge of Business Support Software applications such as MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as Business Modeling Tools (e.g., Visio) Strong working knowledge of Jira or other ticketing systems Working knowledge of Rally (CA Agile) preferred Excellent interpersonal skills and developing relationships with team members and customers Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Automotive experience is a plus Excellent personal time management skills with the ability to prioritize personal assignments and assignments for multiple teams and other employeesSalary Range: NAMinimum Qualification11 - 15 years
