Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic QA Lead to guide our Quality Assurance team. The candidate should have an affinity for all things digital, a talent for critical thinking, and a genuine passion for ensuring user experience quality across multiple platforms and devices. QA Lead will provide leadership and direction for their QA team. In this role the QA Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the products and services the company delivers meet or exceed customer quality expectations. QA Lead will be reporting to Director of QA. The QA Lead work in partnership with our Professional Services team and the Customer to deliver high quality, effective and reliable solutions in order to gain a competitive advantage and maximize organizational value. Responsibilities: Develop efficient test plans and coordinate testing schedules for multiple team members across multiple products. Guides client with their respective responsibilities for testing, reviews clients test planning and execution. Collaborate with the client, project managers and developers to provide a high level of functionality, usability, and testability expertise. Provide ongoing ownership of QA strategy and mentorship for driving best practices in manual and automation software testing. Plan, lead, and oversee all testing activities including Test Plan and Joint Test Strategy Provides direction and guidance for test targets, test cases and test coverage using testing, technical and product expertise. Validate the existing QA process framework and adjust as necessary to meet the objectives of quality management. Working independently, but must also provide progress updates to the project teams, noting any milestones reached and potential barriers to on-time delivery of tasks Analyze and monitor defect metrics within the release and among releases per product line, identify trends and recommend test effectiveness measures and quality conclusions. Constantly evaluate and refine QA processes/methodologies and enforce them within all teams involved Effectively communicate defects to project teams with clear information about the failed requirement, its impact on the system, and clear steps to reproduce. When needed, perform web-based and mobile applications for various products
Knowledge Requirements: Knowledge of insurance industry practices and the methodologies to effect best practices of quality assurance for this line of business is preferred. QA Lead and/or vendor coordination experience Strong knowledge of QA processes and concepts including test case preparation and testing methodologies Hands-on testing experience in multiple environments and Products. Knowledgeable and hands on experience with automation tools and frameworks including Selenium and JMeter Clear understanding of the product development lifecycle, technical requirements, and project management Ability to give accurate QA estimates for stories Education & Experience Required: Bachelors degree Preferably in Computer Sciences desired. 5+ years in quality assurance, test strategy, test planning, test execution 2+ years of QA Lead experience Experience working with onshore and offshore teams. Experience testing web-based and mobile software. Comprehensive knowledge of QA automation processes, methodologies, and frameworks. Hands on experience with testing tools such as JIRA, Test Rails, HP ALM, Load Runner, and Selenium. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Experience with monitoring teams performance on a continuing basis using QA Metrics and taking the appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness and improving the quality of products being delivered to customers. Prior experience in collaborating with customer on test design and test planning Experience in health or life insurance industry is preferred.
