The Software Developer II will be part of the Office of CTO and will performs research, design, implementation and maintenance of capabilities related to utilization of machine learning methods in ANSYS physics-based flagship and/or design solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES Research machine learning based applicable scenarios for numerical simulation methods for fluids, structures, electromagnetics, optics, and electronics Develop predictive model for various analysis solutions by using machine learning and analytical techniques Collaborate with product engineering teams to drive real-time model implementations and new feature creations Design efficient/scalable processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, quality of machine learning algorithm results and stability of various deployed systems Diagnose and fix code problems Create unit regression and/or system-level tests to thoroughly validate new features or changes Optimize code to improve computational efficiency and memory capacity
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical/Electronics Engineering with exposure to AI/ML methods or Computer Science/Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience Expertise in C/C and Python programming with strong algorithm implementation abilities Familiarity with deep learning/machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit Learn, AutoML is a plus Strong passion and interest in machine learning or deep learning development Excellent technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical/Electronics Engineering with exposure to AI/ML methods or Computer Science/Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience Experience in machine learning or deep learning research and development for CAE software Familiarity with CAE software is a plus
