This position is responsible for assisting the High Performance Team by gathering renewal information, preparing applications, assembling presentations and providing first class customer serviceEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesService commercial accounts over $100,000 in annual premiumManage expirations with producer to obtain renewal and/or new business information needed for underwriters on a timely basisMaintain expiration control logAssist in marketing new and renewal business, determine premiums, prepare presentations and maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrierResponsible for communication with current and potential insurance carriersResponsible for managing underwriting information to supply the insurance carriers for quotation and following up with carriers to obtain quotations on a timely basisCoordinate insurance proposals for new and renewal accounts per applications, company quotations and clients requestsReceive phone calls from clients, and companies regarding insurance, or administrative problems and comply with the request and/or refer to the producer only when necessaryMaintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence and reports, and follow up on overdue suspense itemsPerform client visits with or without producer when requested to discuss and handle their insurance needsMaintain and manage the service schedules for the producer with clientsMaintain the ability to rate property, general liability, automobile and workers compensation insuranceKeep producers fully informed of all-important activities on their accountsAssist other departments This description is not meant to be all-inclusive and may be modified from time to time at the discretion of management.CompetenciesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education And/or ExperienceHigh school Diploma or the recognized equivalent is requiredCollege degree is preferredMust possess an active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty License or willing to obtain within 3 months of being hiredMinimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar position handling accounts over $100,000 is requiredProfessional designation of CIC or CPCU preferredThorough understanding of commercial lines underwriting and coverages is requiredComputer SkillsStrong Excel, Word, and Power Point skills are requiredMust be experienced with AMSOther QualificationsMust be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skillsA positive, team-oriented attitude is necessary to effectively work with a large variety of personalitiesMust possess excellent listening skills Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
